Providers that deliver at Mississauga Hospital Site
Women’s and Children’s inpatient hospital care, including birthing services, will be provided at Credit Valley Hospital as of October 8, 2025.
What you need to know:
- Beginning October 8, 2025, all women’s and children’s inpatient services will be located at Credit Valley Hospital until the future Shah Family Hospital for Women and Children is complete. This includes:
- Labour and delivery
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Gynecological and reproductive health services
- Emergency care will continue at both Mississauga Hospital and Credit Valley Hospital. If you visit the Mississauga Hospital Emergency Department and need specialized care from an obstetrician/gynecologist or paediatrician who is located at Credit Valley Hospital, our medical teams will arrange a safe transfer. This ensures you receive the right care from the right specialists when you need it most.

What does this mean for you?
- Having your baby before October 8, 2025? If your birth is before October 8 at Mississauga Hospital your plans will not change.
- Having your baby after October 8, 2025? Your birth will take place at the Credit Valley Hospital. Please reach out to your primary care provider with any questions regarding your delivery plans.

Maternal Fetal Clinic
The Maternal Fetal Clinic specializes in the care of pregnancies with certain risk factors. These risk factors may affect the pregnant person, baby or both. The clinic services
both Credit Valley Hospital and Mississauga Hospital. Patients are referred to the clinic by a primary care provider.
Patients may receive care for: a single consult, until a certain point in their pregnancy at which the risk factor resolves, or for their entire pregnancy. The interprofessional team in the clinic will work with you to make an appropriate care plan. The interprofessional healthcare team provides patients and families with comprehensive assessments and care.
