To Our Diagnostic Imaging Patients and Providers:
Update as of July 2024:
The Cator Family Diagnostic Imaging Program at Queensway Health Centre (QHC) is being renovated. To ensure there is no disruption to patient care during these renovations, THP is operating a mobile CT unit at the QHC site.
More information is available below and if you have further questions, please connect with your care provider.
For patients visiting the mobile CT unit:
The Cator Family Diagnostic Imaging Program at Trillium Health Partners has put in place measures to ensure patients and staff are comfortable and safe throughout their appointment.
- Please arrive on time -
no earlier than 15 minutes prior to your arrival time.
- Patients will be registered and have all pre-scan preparations done within the main Diagnostic Imaging Department. Patients will then be directed and escorted by a volunteer outside to the mobile CT trailer unit via a partially enclosed walkway.
- Please note that while the walkway is partially enclosed, there will be some exposure to seasonal temperatures. It is recommended that all patients arrive for their scan in loose fitting clothing with no metal/jewellery. Patients will also be able to wear their shoes and outerwear to the mobile CT trailer unit.
Note: Your arrival time is
not the same time as your appointment time, as it includes time to register and prepare you for the appointment.
-
If you are more than 10 minutes late from your arrival time, we may not be able to perform your study.
- If you are running late, please call the department to see if we can still accommodate you.
- Please sit in designated chairs only. Chairs have been blocked in our waiting areas to ensure physical distancing.
- You should expect to be in Diagnostic Imaging for at least 1-3 hours.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact your referring healthcare provider. This includes requests to move up appointments, which need to be submitted in writing by the referring provider. Thank you for your understanding during this time.
For referring physicians:
New Ultrasound Intake Process
Triage guidelines have been established and all imaging requests will be reviewed and triaged prior to booking. We are asking physicians to provide an adequate clinical history on requisitions and to please fax all
ultrasound requisitions to our department prior to booking at (905) 813-4418 (Credit Valley Hospital) or (416) 521-4014 (Mississauga Hospital or Queensway Health Centre). We will contact patients with an appointment date and time.
